Cafe Eikaiwa Fanz is one of the largest English-learning communities in Japan, where life-changing encounters, learning opportunities, and new challenges are inspired through English. The community is uniquely operated by bilingual members who are native English speakers and also fluent in Japanese, creating a welcoming environment where anyone interested in English can take part with confidence.
Members can experience real-life English communication through meet-ups with bilingual mentors, learn about the forefront of global careers from professionals at leading international companies, and steadily improve their skills through practical seminars and speaking workshops designed to support success in English-proficiency exams.
In addition, coaching programs and sports activities provide opportunities to build friendships while learning, making Fanz a truly one-of-a-kind community. It is a place for anyone who wants to take a step toward a new version of themselves, new connections, and new possibilities — with English as the catalyst.
Cafe Eikaiwa is one of the largest English conversation communities in Japan, hosting sessions at over 100 cafes nationwide and welcoming more than 20,000 participants each year. Participants are grouped by level (D, C, B, A, S) and practice speaking with other Japanese learners, making it easy for beginners to join with confidence and improve at their own pace. With an affordable participation fee of just ¥500 per session, it’s easy to continue and increase practical speaking output casually. The relaxed, cafe-style atmosphere makes conversations enjoyable, and the community is highly valued not only for language learning, but also as a place for socializing and building connections.
Cafe Eikaiwa Native Group is a small-group, practical English conversation session with one native instructor and up to five Japanese participants. In addition to in-person sessions held at cozy cafes across Japan, online sessions are also available, allowing participants to join easily from home. In-person sessions offer the immersive experience of using English in a real environment—picking up on facial expressions, gestures, and vocal nuances—helping improve reaction speed and natural conversation skills. Online sessions, on the other hand, eliminate travel time and allow participants to join from anywhere in Japan, making it easy to maintain a steady amount of speaking output. Even online, instructors actively guide the conversation so everyone has a chance to speak. Thanks to the small-group format, beginners can participate comfortably, and sessions never end with just listening. For ¥1,500 per session, participants can practically refine “English that works in real situations” with native instructors, whether attending in person or online.
Cafe Eikaiwa Native Private is a one-on-one English conversation service offering two courses to suit different needs: Daily Conversation and Business English. Lessons are available both in person at cafes nationwide and online, allowing learners to choose the format that best fits their lifestyle and learning goals. In-person lessons provide a real, face-to-face conversation experience with a native instructor in a relaxed cafe setting, where learners can naturally develop pronunciation, timing, and authentic expressions. This format is ideal for those who want to acquire truly usable English. Online lessons allow learners to study from home or the office without travel time, making it easy for busy individuals to continue focused, goal-oriented learning. From everyday conversation basics to practical business English, presentations, and meeting communication, lessons are tailored flexibly to each learner’s goals and level. This private English service is ideal for those who want reliable progress and an efficient way to improve their English skills.
Cafe Eikaiwa Enterprise is a corporate English training program specifically designed to meet the needs of companies. Built on the expertise of Cafe Eikaiwa, which welcomes over 20,000 participants annually, the program focuses on practical, output-based learning.
From daily conversation to business English, as well as presentation and meeting preparation, the curriculum can be tailored flexibly to each organization’s objectives. Lessons with native instructors are available both in person and online, making it possible to implement the program for corporate training anywhere in Japan.
Beyond improving employees’ English skills, the program also helps to enhance communication within teams and increase efficiency in global business operations. It is an ideal English training solution for companies seeking to strengthen their talent development initiatives.

Biography
Born in 1982 in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
While studying at university, he went to the UK to study English with the goal of becoming a pilot. During his stay in the UK, he was attacked and stabbed several times, requiring emergency hospitalization. Through conversations with doctors and the police at that time, he strongly realized the need for a much higher level of English proficiency. As a result, he raised his TOEIC score by 500 points, reaching 955.
After returning to Japan, he worked for global companies such as Philips and Google. In 2008, he founded “Cafe English Conversation (Cafe Eikaiwa)” as a casual and affordable way for people to learn English. In 2018, the business was incorporated as Stellar Corporation, Inc. The company expanded its services to include group and private lessons taught by native English-speaking instructors, further diversifying its business.
He also holds a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification.
